St Michael's Out of School Club
Aims and Objectives We aim to provide a high standard of childcare for all children within St. Michael’s school. All our staff are committed to provide a secure friendly atmosphere for your child. They regularly attend training courses to update their knowledge and experience. There are first Aiders present at all times.
Policies All polices an procedures are displayed in the entrance foyer for all parents to see, it is the parents responsibility to read these. If you have any concerns do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff. Please see General Policies for Wrap-around Admission Policy and Out of School Care Admission Policy
Behaviour All children are expected to play and share together and follow our friendship rules. A typical day in our Out of School Club Breakfast 8am – 8.45am During this session the children are offered cereals and toast before they start their school day. We offer breakfast up to approximately 8.35am therefore giving the children time to get ready for school.
Wraparound 11.30am – 3pm Wraparound children are collected at 11.30am from nursery. The children sessions have their lunch in the School dining hall. Wraparound runs till 3pm, when the children need to be colleted by this time from the Out of School Club mobile. Wraparound gives the children opportunity to take par in lots of different activities including art & craft, out door play and simple cooking activities.
Afterschool - Monday – Friday until 6.00pm The Children are collected from the main school building at 3.05pm/3.15pm and are able to spend some leisurely time with their friends. They can either relax in our quiet book corner or take part in a variety of activities which are on offer. A snack is provided for those who get a little hungry. Children need to be collected by 6.00pm Please note the opening and closure times for all our sessions. These times must be adhered to for the safety of each individual child. Fees
Payment Fees should be paid a week in advance to enable your place to be confirmed. Cheques should be mad payable to :- St Michaels’s Primary School Playcare or if you wish pay in cash
Illness If a child is absent from school due to sickness then fees should still be payable to the club. First day full price then a reduced fee thereafter. Please see table above. This is due to places being booked for your child in advance.

Cancellations/Holidays As from 01/09/07 as long as one full notice or more is given of planned absence you will be charged ½ price for any missed sessions.
If less than a weeks notice is given then the full price for the missed session/s will be charged. If you wish to cancel your child’s session permanently please give us one weeks written notice, otherwise fees will still be payable.
Swapping Sessions Can we remind you once a session is booked, that session needs to be paid for, we do not swap sessions, if you require extra sessions they can be booked if places are available.
Parents Notice Board We now have a parent’s notice board in the foyer, where all up to date notices are displayed. It is parent’s responsibility to read these important notices.
